We are seeking a dynamic and driven Investment Analyst to help support ebi in meeting our ambitious growth plans. Working as part of a small team, you’ll have excellent communication skills and an eye for detail, as well as foundations in the investment space.

ebi is a Discretionary Fund Manager that runs evidence based, passive investment portfolios on behalf of Independent Financial Advisers. Based in Walsall and part of the Parmenion Group, we have been working with financial advisers from around the country since 2010, having grown to now manage nearly £2 billion in assets.

We’ve been growing rapidly over the past years, thanks to our unique offering of ESG (Ethical, Social, Governance) screened, factor-based portfolios, combined with our innovative and proprietary technology and applications.

Duties Include:

  • Collecting, curating and communicating data on the full range of ebi’s portfolios and products,
  • Support ebi’s advisers with analysis into portfolio performance, exposure and allocations
  • Quarterly and ad-hoc due-diligence on existing and potential investments
  • Review portfolio positions, portfolio building, and data integrity,
  • Work with third-party fund managers to assist in the design, monitoring and creation of new funds and solutions,
  • Pen communications and blogs on contemporary topics in finance
  • Liaise with third-party data providers to gather analysis and share portfolio insights,
  • Support ebi’s Investment Product Manager with new product ideas, creation and implementation
  • Participation on ebi’s investment committee,
  • Understand the products & services of the company and maintain up-to-date general knowledge of the financial services industry and markets

About You:

  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant area (Finance, Economics, or a numerical degree)
  • Three years experience in a similar role
  • High level of experience using Excel, with additional experience in financial modelling
  • Any programming skills would be beneficial but not required, particularly experience with Python, VBA or data science
  • Experience with data providers; Morningstar, FE, Refinitiv, Lipper, Bloomberg etc. (Beneficial, but not required)
  • Strong teamwork skills including experience in coordinating on group projects
  • Willingness to pursue professional qualifications, e.g. IMC, CFA Certificate in ESG investing, CFA
